Coaches for Coaches

Not a lot of people realize that coaches also can have coaches. I mean, … we are people too. We have our flaws too.

For me, I can say that I, on regular basis, am lost too. Doubt myself. Want to give up. Asking myself why I still looking for clients, when they clearly don’t are looking for me.

Yes, all the doubts and all the mindset problems and all the business problems you have …. we coaches have them too.

Funny thing is, we all are better in helping others than ourselves.

And for that reason, coaches also help coaches.

And that is why I have my chat in a group, every Friday before the days starts. We are a group of business coaches who do the same work, with the same tools. Only difference is that we have slightly different clients. But even when we have the same kind of clients, do you know how many people there are in this world? More than enough to share, that is for sure.

Scammers … or not??

Are coaches scammers or not?

Coaching is something what is overlooked by a lot of people and especially business owner.

Which is understandable when you look what coaches are offering, what they are NOT offering, how they are offering it, and especially, what kind of price ticket is added to it.

Some people a.k.a. the loudest people see, it as a scam. And these people don’t hold back on telling everyone why they think it is a scam. Even “colleague-“coaches do it.

Funny thing is that these kind of people never used a coach or run into one who didn’t deliver what was offered. And that cab happen, because of multiple reasons, and the coach isn’t always to blame.

And why fellow-coaches don’t hold back to tell how others are so bad? No clue. I only can think of that they feel threatened or don’t get enough clients and blame that on others.

For myself, I often let myself influence by these kind of negative people. Despite the fact that I have to tools to help them for sure. And because of that, I even offer to return their payments when they don’t get the expected results (as long as they have done the work of course). Not that this is a bad thing, because I know I almost am able to guarantee results. although there are always exceptions.

Anyhow, a coach is a good thing. Even this coach has a coach.

And if you are looking for any kind of coach, do your research. Talk to him/her before you start paying.

Cats …..

Years ago a cat arrived at hour house, who decided to stay at our barn. We already had a barn cat, who doesn’t like other cats, but for this one he made an exception.

After a few months we named the cat Mario, and Mario decided to rip open his entire leg. When you have animals, you know animals do these kind of things in the weekend or after hours. Probably just to test to see how far your love {and wallet} will go, I think.

So, after a night at the vet and 25 stitches later, he came home again and had to stay inside for a few weeks.

This was the moment Mario found out that laps are great places to stay on and “inside” is nice, warm and dry. As long as it doesn’t take too long.

He didn’t made it to his 6 weeks inside, after barely 5 he was already outside. But he is very capable to let you now when he thinks he wants to come in. Or out for that matter.

For years now we lock him up in a room for the night. We can’t hear him when he starts yelling, has food and water. And is save for the night. In the morning he is off. Till everybody is home again, so he can enjoy that lap again.

Sometimes he is gone for a few days. One night, 2 nights, a week or even 2 weeks. I don’t know where he goes, but he is always coming back. Hungry and tired.

He decided to go for a long stroll again a few days ago. And last night, at 2 am he decided he had to come in again. Screaming, soaking wet from the rain, he got a can of food and has slept since.

And despite the scare he gave us (no fun to wake up from a deep sleep this way) we are happy that he is back again. All the worries for this cat are gone again.

Till the next time.

Moral of this story?? None. Just felt the need to tell this 🙂

I got serious …

I got serious with what I do now (helping small business owners to become successful) after my kids left the house.

Over the years I learned a lot, I failed a lot, but also had some successes. I waisted a lot of time too.

How?

By not spending time and money on the things which should move me forward. By spending money on promising ads, which always ended up being not so promising. By “learning” the same things over and over again. By not seeking the help I really needed. By not doing the things I learned about.

But also by consistently trying to set myself back to look at things negatively. By not staying accountable. By giving up and than starting again.

Becoming successful is not only doing the right things for your business. A huge part is also mindset. Believing in yourself. Staying positive. Knowing you can do it and stick to that thought.

From there on you can start building. Building the foundation for your business. Finding your leads/clients. Start earning money. Create profit. Create more profit.

My biggest change was using the one year course I am teaching now. Every week I made a small step and got better every day. It’s not an MBA, but it’s getting close. And with the coaches I had, I got the opportunity to grow.

Who doesn’t want that too??

Think outside the box ….

Think outside the box…..

It can be so simple sometimes. In my personal life: going to sleep for me is sometimes problematic. As soon as my hubby turns off his light, he starts cutting trees. Very loud sometimes. It keeps me awake. The idea given is to plug my ears, but I just don’t like that.

But I found a solution. I listen to a business book or any other interesting book nowadays with my headphones. The sound is just loud enough to take “the edge off” the chainsaw sound, the voice of the reader is just enough to make me stop concentrating (did I say boring?) and before I know it I kind of wake up an hour later, just enough to take the headphone out so I can fall asleep again.

So what has this to do with thinking outside the box?

Running a business and finding leads/clients can be difficult. A lot of business owners started in a certain way, got (very) successful when they started out, but now, after some time, got stuck. Leads are still coming in, but just enough and after a lot of effort. Other businesses, with the same service or products, are using the same tactics too, which doesn’t help.

So how can you change this?

Just think outside the box. Change a small thing. Instead of “waiting to fall asleep” add “listening to a book”. Instead of some pictures as an ad, add a short video. Add a funny video is even better. Doesn’t need to be an hour movie. 1 minute is enough. Doesn’t need a to be you, can also be a video what you do. {Or what you not do}.

Think things over. Try it out. See what works for your business.

But most off all … set yourself apart from your competition.

Before you know it …

It’s Saturday again.

I have the feeling I haven’t done anything, but I still have done a lot.

Question is, has it been productive what I have been doing???

I have a big problem. I help my clients. They move forward. I know exactly what they have to do, how they can do things, etc. I love to do it. I am good at and I can see that it helps them to move forward.

But …..

I just forget to do it for my own business. Sometimes it’s a wonder that I have clients and that I have an income.

I can be chaotic and structural at the same time, I am constantly working on things and thinking to do new things. I forget to bring myself out there on regular basis (if people don’t know you, they won’t look for you). I have the minimal amount of clients and my business isn’t growing. I don’t plan.

Why do I not change that?

I always liked it to keep things simple, my life included. I am happy to help those few people who are my clients to get to the 6-figure profits. That will be how I roll for the next few years till I retire. So it works for me, for now. And I can tell you, if you like to reach a higher goal, this is absolutely NOT the way to do it.

For now my hubby and I are ready for 3 days camping. Planned weeks ago. And for weeks it has been warm, even hot. This weekend it will cool off for 3 days, to get back to warm/hot again after these 3 days.

Some thing you just can’t plan ha ha ha!

Enjoy your weekend. Enjoy Family and Friends!!

Not again ….

Looking at all these extremely successful entrepreneurs, they are all in perfect health.

Don’t be fooled.

Yes, there are a lot of them in perfect health, but not all of them. Yesterday I was part of a workshop given by a guy who is diabetic and also has a couple of other health problems.

Anxiety is also high on the list of known entrepreneurs. I know a lady, who has extreme anxiety (and I mean really extreme) and she decided to help other entrepreneurs with starting their business while being in the same boat.

As a lot of people, I am not perfect either (and I always thought I was. Just kidding).

I have headaches. Generally on the worst moments lol. “Take a pill” …. doesn’t always work. Also a reason why I started with essential oils. Weather changes are the worst.

Mindset has to be right too. With the right mindset you are already halfway. For me, feeling like crab also change the moment that my right mindset flies out of the door (can I say it that way?) Doubt kicks in and 3 days, sometimes even a week, passes by before I am back on track again.

Maybe I should start a course or workshop on “mindset and starting a business”. What do you think??

Building your castle

Every business starts the same way as when you start building your own castle. And because nobody builds the real old-fashioned castles anymore (although these giant houses with 60 rooms are getting close as being the same size), lets reduce this metaphor into building a nice house just for you and maybe some kids (?).

Anyway ….. when you start building your own house, you start with your plan and from there on the start of building the foundation.

The start-up of a business is exactly the same. You start with your plan and than you start building your foundation. You create your vision, mission, decide who your clients are going to be, etc.

A lot of people barely look at this part. Nasty thing about that is that you won’t get very far. Believe me, I have tried it for years and with me many others. You can have a great product, you can wing it at thinking “I bought it, many others will buy it too”, you can harass friends and family, you can work soo hard and the results years later …. you spend a lot of time in earning a meager incomer.

I even give a 14 week course about it. 14 Weeks just to start a business. Who needs that? You can do it in 2 weeks, right?

Yes, you are probably right. If you work on it every day, for several hours per day, keep focussed, don’t get distracted, and all the other things you are willing to do.

But who wants to do that? Who can do that? You already have a full time job, children (maybe the hubby is one of them or there is no hubby) and the entire household to take care of.

But can you give it 30 minutes a day? Just as a start?

Let’s start with 30 minutes ….

Is getting your life back worth an hour??

Is getting your life back worth an hour??

You likely started your business, because you wanted the freedom and flexibility of being your own boss, using your expertise in a way that paid you well.

You were building your business, but at a certain moment you realized that you were trading your time for money.

Trading your time meant less time at home with your family.

Social Life? What is that?

Hobbies? No time for that.

Is that the life you were looking for?

As a start there are a couple of things you can do to change this. It provide you with more money (profit) without spending more time.

And with that extra profit, maybe it’s time to hire someone to take over some tasks so you can see your kids grow up.

Try it out. Change your percentages with just 2 or 3 %.

And if you like it …. contact me so I can show you way more in less than a hour.

Stop doing what you want to do …..

…. Because others say you can’t do it. And they know best.

Doesn’t that sound strange?

You always wanted to do something with your live, mean something to others. But you had a busy job and was exhausted when you finally got home. You had small children, and you were exhausted, because you took care of them all alone. You tried to tell your friends and family, but they told you you were happy with your life now, so why change it. Or maybe they told you you don’t have experience or education to do what you are dreaming of.

I come across a lot of women who run into negative talk from friends and family, after they told them they wanted to start a business. To become their own boss. And they believed others, instead of believing theirselves.

I started helping these women believe in their selves. To build a business one step at the time. To create their business within a year.

I help them to start their dream and show the world they could do it.

P.S. Not everyone got to the finish line. Not every one was completely ready. But they know that they tried. That they could pick up where they left, later in live.

Are you ready or do you know someone who is ready to step in the world of becoming an entrepreneur? Talk to me or let them talk to me. https://calendly.com/baudinaslikker/30min
