Over the years I run into a lot of people who were dreaming to start their own business, but didn’t do anything with it, because they lacked the knowledge and skills (according to them) to really start a business.

I also have seen business owner who took the jump, started their business, had a great product, but failed because of the lack of the right knowledge. And the refusal to work on their business and only in their business.

Let me start with skills. Skills you get by practising. You start by doing it (whatever “it” is) and keep on doing it, even if it isn’t that great in the beginning. For example, the video’s I made years ago were terrible compared to what I do now. And they are still terrible once in a while. Doesn’t matter. As long as the message is passed.

Knowledge is something you can get every where. Yes, I can provide you with the knowledge, but if you don’t want to take that leap right away, there is plenty out there for free to make a good start.

You don’t need a MBA to start your business. You can start with learning from others. From people who are successful. From people who give you a lot of information which you can use right away.

I know there are many out there who also say “but I have all the knowledge already”, even “I have a MBA” and they don’t do anything with it. Except telling others that it isn’t enough.

There are so many resources out there to use, there are coaches out there who can help you, but you have to do something with it and not whine about it.

“Knowledge is power” is a well-known quote. But is you don’t do anything with that power, it’s just knowledge.
