What is “the list”?

Every business owner should build a list with people who potentially can buy from you. And I mean every business owner, even if you think it’s not necessary. This list can create more sales over time. It can upgrade your sales in times when sales are a bit low.

It also gives your potential clients time to make a decision to buy from you, instead of someone else. It gives you the opportunity to convince them your product is better. Your customer service is better. Everything is better when they buy from you.

It gives you the opportunity to provide “old” clients with information about upgrades or totally new products.

The list can created by providing a weekly or monthly or even quarterly newsletter. Or just to provide updates once in a while.

Or you can create a list by giving away a report, book or e-book, video’s, a course, discount, etc.

Just get that information from the people who are interested in what you have to offer. Maybe they never buy from you (which is probably 3% of less) or they buy from you next year (another 3%). That doesn’t matter. You always have the option to sell to them over and over again. At a very easy way. Who doesn’t want that?

Soooo, create that list. Give them something good in exchange for their name and email and even phone number (texting is the new emailing nowadays, but that is another post)
