Starting a business is not easy and hard work. One of the most important things though, is to keep in mind that YOU are important too.
Working your a$$ off, not taking any time off, busy day and night, getting lost in the many things you do … NOT GOOD!
You have to take time to upload that battery. Or you will burn out. The fun will go out of running your business. Your energy levels will drop. You start procrastinating. Your head is not longer in the game. The battery is broken.
There are many ways to prevent that. It’s up to you to take control and manage your schedule. And stick to it.
Someone told me once, a long, long time ago, what happens when you run under a bus tomorrow? Do you think the rest of the world wont be able to solve their problems. They will learn to look elsewhere when you are not there anymore.
So, they will survive 2 days without you. Really.
I decided to only work 4 days a week. I use the Friday’s as an overflow day. The weekends, I am off: Computer is off. Email is off. Work computer is off. I will be back on Monday.
Post like this I write beforehand and schedule posting. Same with social media. Same with my calendar.
Yes, sometimes there is no other option. But it has to be sometimes.
